Thought I would start an offical thread for this baby because I know I'm gonna be posting WAYYYY to many photos of him, haha. So here is an introduction and then, as promised, a bunch of photos!

We were unsure of how Jackson would do in turn out. Where he was was a strict show barn, so not all of the horses are turned out, like in a "completely" free way. They are usually supervised in smaller arenas or worked in the round without a line so they can buck and run and stuff kinda with supervision. He had been turned out before on his own, but not in that big of an area. He did make me a bit nervous. He runs really close to rails and then ran at full speed towards one of the corners and slide to a stop and banged his knee on the rail. he calmed down and figured out where he could safely put his legs and calmed down pretty quick after that. Made me nervous, haha. He hasn't hit any rails or done anything risky since. That's why he's all booted up, just to be safe, haha.

 I gave little Jackson a bath last week and then made my friend hold him for photos, haha. I'm so obsessed with this horse. 

He needs to be in magazines. :D

A few of him in the round. He's so silly. This day he literally jogged out of his pen and up to the round pen (the entire length of the propery basically, like 20 acres) and then when I put him in the round and asked him to trot, he didn't wanna go! He got rid of all his energy on his little jog up. :p

And finally, this is my new favorite photo of him. I wish his mane would get like an inch and a half longer so it would go past his neck enough to be seen from the other side. :p He's close! I'm taking better care of his mane than his previous home (not that they were bad, he just wasn't showing so it wasn't always braided up and stuff) and it will grow a bit.

Chaotic, I am going to try. :D When Whynn visits (in like less than 3 weeks!!!!!) I am going to force her to take photos of me and Jackson (sorry Whynn, I am haha)
And today I am doing some cow work with Frederick! I am bringing my camera and am gonna see if anyone can get some shots of us.
Just....promise no fat jokes. I am not the thinnest person to ever live. Not the heaviest, but also not that thinnest.... -angel face emoji-

I have a lesson in two hours and I am supposed to practice and run though my pattern for my show next saturday and I just looked up what my pattern was five minutes ago lol
If i'm not on tomorrow my trainer has killed me...

I did not die in my lesson. My stops to the left were the best stops I've ever done on a horse ever. He tries so hard!
My stops to the right however...erm. Idk what I was doing. I was over thinking everything. To the left we just loped down increased speed I said whoa he was amazing his butt disappeared from underneath me for like three seconds (this is good in reining haha) pat pat good boy. But to the right...In the span of my like twenty five stride run down (we only went to center) I was going "drive. be back but don't lean back. sit on your pockets. legs out. say whoa then fold at the stomach. don't change your hip angle. roud your shoulders don't tighten your arms. count your striding count your striding count your str...YOU MISSED CENTER. STOP." and it was like a sack of potatoes trying to stop Spirit. No Bueno.

He was awesome :D We marked a 66 from a tough judge. (a 67.5 won the class, and that was a trainer).
We had slightly penalities from an overspin and an underspin (way to average it out, me! :p) but we imporved so much from last time! We hit our center and had actual stops! Also, the judge said Jackson was "a very cute little horse" and asked how he was bred. And that's the most important part.
Also, shoutout to Whynn so being a trooper! It was in the high 90s ALL day. And we were there ALL DAY. And she didn't complain and made sure I was hydrated and was eating to keep my blood sugar up. 12/10, best friend ever. XD

I am absolutely in love with this horse. He tries his little lazy  heart out all the time. He's so honest. It is weird, like he won't do anything extra if you don't ask him too, but if you ask him for a litle extra he'll give it no problem. I've never known a horse like that. ^.^
My little man is pretty special.

And then because it was like 100 degrees and I had somene who could take photos with me, I took his bridle off and asked him to do some things to see waht would happen. Probably not the best idea in the big ring when I've never done it before, but he was amazing. I really do love this horse.

This is a very important update:

Jackson did a leadline class with a four year old!

OMG! Her name is Jasmine and she picked out the pad and boots Jackson was wearing. And she got to wear a cowboy hat and boots and we couldn't find a kids saddle so she just had to hold on. Oh goodness. The weekend before he was in the money in NRHA limited open and the next week he's doing leadline with a four year old. Jackson is a true all-around horse XD
